Our prevention postcard on prescription and OTC drug abuse is eye-catching and filled with facts that parents and adults need to know in order to help prevent and reduce prescription drug abuse - affecting 1 in 5 teens -as well as the abuse of cough medicines which affects an estimated 1 in 10 teens. This postcard has been designed to use in a variety of settings, including libraries, schools, health fairs, physicians offices, youth and civic organizations and congregations, to name but a few. The format allows the cards to be mailed or simply made available for pick-up. A community prevention toolkit with two separate trainings - one directed to teens and one to adults- will be available in late April. This toolkit will come complete with PowerPoint presentations and handouts, and will be a great resource for any community working to prevent and reduce the abuse of prescription and OTC medications.
